Hello Bosslady!

If you could be either a passenger or the captain, driver or pilot, which would you rather be? If you answered captain, driver or pilot then you have the entrepreneurial bug and are called to entrepreneurship

My Passion

I have a passion to see kingdom women entrepreneurs succeed in their business and life without compromising on their faith and values. I truly believe that the way you get there is just as important as getting there. My passion leads me to empowering and equipping those I work with and everyone with the knowledge, strategies, resources, and tools that will help them achieve high levels of success in business and life. Together, I believe we can and will achieve our mandate and purpose as written by the Creator.

Ready? Let’s Do This!

[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row disable_element=”yes”][vc_column][vc_single_image image=”1019″ img_size=”small”][vc_single_image image=”1019″ img_size=”small”][vc_column_text css_animation=”bounceInDown” css=”.vc_custom_1597439492209{padding-top: 30px !important;}”]One thing that has kept me going in business is my drive to succeed. When I see the many needs around me and how fortunate I am to have the opportunities that many in my situation don’t have, I am challenged to make sure I succeed in order to give them hope. The road has not been easy. I am still not there yet but I’m driven and excited about what the future holds.

My entrepreneurship journey started in High School when I saw that becoming a medical doctor wasn’t going to work for me as I did not like chemistry or physics. While I was in college, I was attending classes and at the same time running my business from my dorm room. In 2001 when I graduated, I turned down the opportunities of working in a big advertising agency to pursue my business dreams. Fast forward to the present, I realize that after all these years, some essential things have been missing in my business. I sat down and did some thinking and realized I have been making several mistakes which have not allowed my business to be where it ought to be. One of those mistakes was being bent on doing business my way, the way that was comfortable for me. Although I graduated with a business degree, I was not really open to new ideas of what it took to make a business successful. I figured if I played it safe enough, after some time, I would finally succeed.

In 2017, I went back to school and that was when many things began to change in my life. You can hear all the business advice you want to hear but until you take action and be determined to implement such ideas then you are not going to achieve any different result. I took a bold step and went back to school to become conversant on the tools and ways that are moving businesses today. I learned a few things along the way and have rebranded myself in order to better help you.

But let’s back up and take it from the beginning…[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Developing Polio

I was born as every other normal healthy child with a striking resemblance to my father. As I began to develop and grow, one day fell ill. By the time the sickness took its course, it was discovered that I had polio and the end result was that it left me unable to walk. Growing up back in a village in Nigeria, West Africa, there was no way for a disabled child to get around and so I crawled on the ground or was carried around for most part. It wasn’t until the age of 5 years old that my father traveled from the United States and brought a wheelchair for me. The wheelchair was bigger than me but it allowed me the privilege of being able to attend school. I have to say I was the only one and first ever to use a wheelchair in my village although the total number of people with my similar disability was only three.

From Africa to the US

I was raised for most of my childhood in Nigeria where I was born. When I was born my father was already living in the United States as a student at Columbia University on a scholarship from the Nigerian government. By the time I would meet him at the age of 5, polio already had it’s devastating effect. During that time, my mother joined my father in the U.S. while I lived with my grandparents. When my father came home to Nigeria, he got stranded, leaving my mother and brother in the United States. After 8 years, my dad and I joined my mother and brother at the age of 11 when I came to the United States. The most difficult thing about living in the United States at that time was coping with a new environment, not having many ways to connect to folks back home except through letters. It was very challenging developing in a body that did not allow me to do as many things as other children could do. The memories of my grandparents and my desire to make them proud was one of the things that propel me to continue in spite of my challenges. My parents have always been and continue to be among my strongest advocates and cheerleaders. They never for one day make me feel that I had a disability, and with this belief when I desired to go away for college, they eagerly supported me and off I went. I did my undergraduate studies in at Rider University in New Jersey, where I majored in Business Administration and Advertising.

My Dream of Being An Entrepreneur

As a young child, I was plagued with the memories of people I had witnessed die a needless death that even at that young age I knew could have been avoided had there been a hospital. So I wanted to be a medical doctor in order to return home one day and build a hospital. When in high school I realized that my dream of becoming a medical doctor wasn’t going to be possible. I decided to make the money so that I could pay the doctors that could do what I wanted to accomplish. I then decided to pursue business and it seemed like a natural fit.

While I was in college, my business and advertising classes were always too short because I enjoyed the, so much. I love everything business, marketing, and I love helping entrepreneurs and other small business owners like myself achieve the success and life they deserve.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row full_width=”stretch_row” el_class=”honesty-section”][vc_column css_animation=”slideInDown” width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]

3 Rules I Live By

Honesty is the Best Policy

There is a saying that if you are honest you don’t need to have a good memory. Apart from this, as a business, honesty will keep you out of trouble and earn you respect and loyalty from your customers. There is nothing more refreshing than dealing with a business that is honest enough to acknowledge when they have messed up rather, than try to cover up and blame the customer. Even when no one knows, it still remains that honesty is the best policy.

Do Unto Others As You Would Like Done to You

I believe in the law of what you ‘sow is what you reap’. In my business and personal life, I often take a minute to reflect if this is how I would like to be treated. I endeavor to treat people with kindness and respect. As business owners, entrepreneurs, it is important to treat those we serve in the way we would like to be treated if the tables were turned.

The Way Up Is Down

Many people work very hard to be successful and to make it by ‘hook or crook’ as a mentor of mine would say. I’ve come to realize that the way to success is through serving others. Does your business serve a need and offer solutions to others? Are you in business for yourself, just to make money or to fulfill a need? It is through service to others that one becomes greater.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row full_width=”stretch_row” css=”.vc_custom_1683777881168{background-position: 0 0 !important;background-repeat: no-repeat !important;}” el_class=”my-top-ten”][vc_column][vc_custom_heading text=”My Top Ten” font_container=”tag:h2|text_align:center” use_theme_fonts=”yes”][vc_row_inner el_class=”topten-content”][vc_column_inner width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”1158″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center” el_class=”topten-image”][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/2″][vc_column_text el_class=”topten-text”]

I didn’t like it, didn’t understand it and didn’t want much to do with it. I was satisfied with having a website, email, text and my phone.

However the reality is that in the world we are living in today it cannot be avoided.

Whether you realize it or not, you have an online reputation, so the best thing is to not to stay off, close your eyes and wish it to go away but rather to be in control of it and to do it in the right way that is good for you and your business.

In today’s world, it’s those that get off the bench and start playing that will be known. As a business owner, it’s not enough to just exist and hope for your clients to find you, you have to be strategic in reaching out to them. This is where I come in as your trusted partner who has been there and know what it is like to be unsocial. Don’t shy away from the many opportunities that lie ahead, take action.

By reading this far, you’ve proven that you’re open to social media – you just want to make absolutely sure you’re doing it the RIGHT way and I can help with that.
